Exhibition "Where Green Grows blue in the Darkness" at Gallery 81° in Warsaw

Where Green Grows Blue in the Darkness is a visual reflection on nature—not as a resource, but as a sovereign being: a dynamic, impenetrable phenomenon, full of primal force. A garden detached from cause and purpose. At the heart of this narrative lies greenness—a concept drawn from the philosophical and poetic language of Bolesław Leśmian, which, in the ceramic works of Stefania Michałowska, is transposed into a visual form.

The exhibition "Ceramic Stories of Stefania Michałowska" as part of Museum Night.

A one-day exhibition combined with a vernissage and a meeting with the artist, organized as part of the 2025 World Night of Museums in Warsaw. The works will be presented in their natural environment — the space in which they are created. During the visit, guests will be able to view around 20 ceramic paintings displayed in a micro-gallery that also serves as the artist's studio.

Exhibition "Ceramic Stories of the Garden" at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre in Lusławice

The central theme of the exhibition is the artwork created after Stefania Michałowska's first visit to the Lusławice Arboretum. It was there that the ideas and the need to portray these remarkable trees were born. She was captivated by their appearance, the atmosphere they exude, and the stories connected to selected dendrological specimens. The exhibition at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music and the park chapel also features earlier works by the artist, inspired by the world of plants.

Exhibition "From Passion for Ceramics" at the Fangorówka Gallery in the Botanical Garden of the Polish Academy of Sciences

This is Stefania Michałowska's second exhibition this year, with a leading theme of botany. At the Fangorówka Gallery, the family home of Wojciech Fangor, works from the Herbarium and Jungle series are presented. Both cycles were inspired by the beauty of plants, their "wisdom," and vitality. They emerged from a desire to study, observe, and investigate, and later translate this into another medium dear to the artist—ceramics.

Exhibition "Herbarium" at the Botanical Garden of the University of Warsaw

,,Herbarium” is a series of paintings created as part of the Scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, focusing on plants found in the flora of Poland that have also made their mark in Polish culture and folk tradition. As Stefania Michałowska admits, her paintings are the result of creative explorations in nature and studies of Polish cultural heritage. The exhibition is complemented by graphics—drawn botanical studies with a cultural context.

Exhibition "Garden of Imagination" at the BTL Gallery

Stefania Michałowska invites us to the realm of ceramic stories, to the titular "Garden of Imagination" during her solo exhibition at the Białystok Puppet Theatre. In a space where both scary and funny stories are told through puppets and marionettes, this time, visitors will have the opportunity to transport themselves to different worlds through the extraordinary paintings of Stefania Michałowska.
